Elizabeth has taught the eight-week MBSR class in group settings and privately for over a decade. She has also designed and led many shorter programs for nonprofits, bar associations, law firms, nonprofits and others. She practiced law for over twenty years, specializing in law in the public interest, and has served as an executive at several organizations.

A graduate of an MFA program in writing, Elizabeth is the author of five collections of poetry. She is also committed classical guitarist and runs a small foundation addressing issues of the environment and environmental justice.

Elizabeth participated in the seven-day professional training program, modeled on the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinnn and Dr. Saki Santorell. She completed the sixty-hour Practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Professionals at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine.
