Tuition: Early Registration $500 (up to one month before), thereafter $550. Includes personal phone orientation, materials (loose leaf book and hand-outs), Day Long, two 45-minute phone make-ups, unlimited phone and email contact encouraged as needed.

Elizabeth J. Coleman, JD, practiced law for over twenty years, and has served as an executive at several organizations. She has taught the eight-week MBSR class in group settings and privately for a number of years. She has also designed and led many shorter programs for school professionals, nonprofits, bar associations, law firms, judges and youth groups.
Elizabeth has participated in the seven-day professional training program, modeled on the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli. She has also completed the sixty-hour Practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Professionals at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine.
Elizabeth regularly offers the eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course in Manhattan. She focuses on creating an enhanced learning environment through small groups (max of 11participants) and the relaxed and comfortable setting of a private loft in Tribeca. Elizabeth has found that an intimate atmosphere overlooking the lights of the city facilitates learning and meaningful discussion of course material. The course has didactic, experiential and interactive components. The program maintains the standard MBSR format originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn: eight two-hour evening sessions and an all-day retreat (which any “graduate” may attend at no charge). Participants learn to use mindfulness meditation, body relaxation and gentle yoga as tools to reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, enhance overall sense of satisfaction, and become empowered by living in full awareness of the present moment. Elizabeth is happy to work with participants to accommodate any unique scheduling requirements. In addition, she teaches customized courses on-site in corporate, non-profit, law firm and academic settings, and gives one-on-one instruction. She also works with musicians, attorneys and others to address theiranxiety about public performance.
